Day 294, light my fire

My friend had a mini-bonfire in her backyard tonight. It was chilly, but nice by the fire. Wine, pizza, smores, scary stories and friends is a great way to start the weekend!

Day 245 ain't easy being green

It's the holiday weekend! I want to do as many summery things as possible over the next few days. This includes wearing sundresses, driving with the windows down and eating ice cream. Let's be honest, I'll likely do all of these things after Labor Day, but they just won't feel the same! Tonight I'm having a relaxing evening in before a busy next two days. What better way to spend the night than by painting my nails in summer colors! This green shade (Who the Shrek Are You) is going on my hands. I haven't yet picked a color for my toes. I'll likely settle on something with an equally cheeky name.

Day 237 better watch out

Yikes. The sky this evening looks mighty creepy. We're bracing for Hurricane Irene, here on the east coast. I don't get worked up about the weather until I see it firsthand. I'd probably be amongst the first casualties in a 2012-end-of-times-rapture situation. What thousand foot high tidal wave? Anyway, apparently this hurricane is going to be intense. The main thing I'm worried about is it screwing up my weekend plans! Hurricane Irene better watch out for Hurricane Katie.

Day 224 was mooned

There's a full moon tonight, which means all the crazies are out. That also means I'm staying in and having a Breaking Bad marathon. Happy weekend friends!

Day 203 stays hydrated

It's hot as hell. I didn't drink enough water today. And I'm about to leave for a weekend in New York City. Wish me luck.

Day 197 for breakfast

Cinnamon waffle with honey peanut butter and bananas. The perfect quick breakfast before hitting the road. I'm going to Baltimore for the night with my folks. Stay tuned for some travel photos tomorrow! Happy weekend friends!

Day 150 likes picnics

I just got back from a Memorial Day picnic. Friends, games, good food (entirely too much of it), and drinks -- what more could a girl want? Sometimes at these types of events I'm too in the moment to remember to take pictures. This was taken towards the end of the night as things were winding down and the mosquitoes were acting up. The three day weekend went by way too fast and now it's back to reality!

Day 107 doesn't want to leave

You can see why I didn't want this weekend to end! This is the view from the deck of the beautiful beach house where we stayed. Now I'm back in PA, unfortunately getting ready to start the week. Blerg. Why can't my friends get married at the beach every weekend?

Day 77 enjoys the weather

There's no better way to celebrate the seventy degree weather than sitting in a park with my mom, drinking an iced coffee. Short post- it's too nice out to be cooped up in front of my computer! Happy weekend all!

Day 7 Left Footprints

This morning we got between a dusting and an inch of snow! When I got home from work I found these cute bird footprints. I can report, no dead birds in Pennsylvania! Not yet at least. Good start to the weekend!
