Day 202 is still sweating...

I'll stop talking about this oppressive Chicago heat now, I'm sure you'll all tired of hearing about it. But it was another hot one in the city and I was struggling with wanting to take out my camera when I was out. Main priority was staying in AC as often as possible. But I did snap a pic while I was out last night. I don't know how anyone could be out doing construction during the day when the weather is up over 100º. Yikes!

Day 197 is beautiful

I went to a fantastic little sushi joint right by my apartment for lunch (the sushi was divine), and on our way out I spotted this fancy little mailbox. The sticker just made me so happy. Like a little message of love and happiness injected into your day. How lovely, Chicago.

All signs point to Day 193

I went on a bit of a walk tonight for dinner. It seems you have to work to get your Chipotle in this town. (Totally worth it, of course). On the way, I spotted this sign. Which is perfect because I'm pretty sure I had just started complaining that I wished the Chipotle would just deliver to me directly, to matter where I am. That's not a crazy thing to want, right? Right??

Day 171 has an ouchy

I had to make a return trip to the dentist today, where I saw this sign. It's so happy, right? Can we all agree that it's not the pain at the dentist that sucks, it's the noises. The drilling and the grinding and the suction... good god, the sounds are the worse! Thankfully this was quick. And now that it's been a few hours, the throbbing has gone down a bit and the area has stopped bleeding. Victory! But I do have to go back in a few weeks to get these pesky wisdom teeth out. That recovery isn't gonna be so easy...

Day 122 is wise

Saw this sign at a little coffee shop out by Diamond Head today. Besides wisdom, they also offer acai bowls that may or may not change your life. Seriously, besides caffeine, I could live off of these little bowls of sweet deliciousness. Right after eating this healthy breakfast, we swung by Liliha Bakery for my favorite chocolate haupia cream puffs. Balance.

Day 90 is not responsible

My car was running dangerously low on gas so in between the million things I have to do today I drove over to Trenton to save twenty cents per gallon. Worth it in my opinion. Especially because of this sad sight. If you don't feel like getting out your magnifying glass to read that sign it says, "Not Responsible for Theft or Damage to Vehicles Left on Premises." No kidding. I wonder if that log behind the back tire was a last ditch attempt to discourage theft.

Day 79 is upside down
