Day 263 is an autumn treat

Peanut-covered caramel apple - perfection. Not much else can be said about one of my favorite autumnal treats. Especially because it disappeared in mere minutes.

Day 130 hates this thing

I don't really like eating whole apples at work out of fear that I'll have food in my teeth when someone talks to me post-apple devouring. This is a real office fear. So instead I slice them. Most days I use this fancy apple slicer thingy. But 8 out of 10 times this thing gets stuck halfway through the freaking apple. I'm not sure if the blades are dull or perhaps that my arm strength is that of a toddler, but whatever it is - it is frustrating and so not what I want to deal with at 9am. Can someone invent one of these that, ya know... work? Pretty please? Thanks. :)

Day 111 forgot something

It seems as though someone forgot their lunch snacks at the bus stop today. This lonely apple and bag of carrots (hard to see), were sitting on a newspaper stand without their owner. I happened to have been craving an apple when I saw this and seriously considered whether or not it was poisonous and if I could eat it without dying. Of course I opted to skip out on eating random fruit off the street (seriously, what was I thinking?) and just leave it there. Though I can report that I looked on my way back home and both snacks were gone. Were they poisonous or not? We'll never know.

Day 93 (almost) started the fire

So today there's been this weird, subtle burning smell in our apartment and the sis and I could not find the source so we just forgot about it for a while. I was totally convinced it was from our attempt to make waffles this morning (that were actually delicious, despite some scary smokey moments). Then the sis noticed that her laptop wasn't charging. Upon further inspection this was found. Umm..... yeah. Scary! At least we caught it before an actual fire started. Cause that would have been a fun Sunday night.
