Day 290 buys local
I really, really love the Goose Island brewery beers. They're in all the bars and stores here, and are well loved by the locals. And since I'm trying to be a local, I've totally hopped on the bandwagon. And it was a great decision. The 312 is my absolute favorite. But coming in a close second is their Fall Harvest Ale, which I just tried for the first time the other day. Yum!

Day 226 has a cold one (or two)
The friend visiting continued today! (And this time the weather played nice.) A bunch of us went to the Goose Island Brewery where we enjoyed, what else, many a beer. We got a "sampler" bucket of 5 different beers and two of us split it. OY! That was a lot of beer.... but so so delicious. I'll definitely be back there for more.

Day 158 is summer lovin
I'll be working from home for the next few weeks. I know that seems like a walk in the park, but it's actually not quite as fantastic as you would think. I mean, don't get me wrong - it's fantastic, but it's not a whole day of vacationing, if you know what I mean. I still get up early, set a daily work schedule for myself and try to remember to schedule some time for things like exercise and stepping away from my computer for a few minutes. I got a ton of stuff done tonight, and decided a beer with dinner was well deserved. The sis and I are loving this summer ale. It's all kinds of yummy, and made this work from home day so much sweeter.

Day 109 is le tired
Traveling has completely knocked the wind out of me. Getting delayed for a few hours in NJ doesn't help matters much. The Seattle trio made it back (finally!) close to midnight tonight, which is 3am EST. My body is confused and not happy with me. So now... I sleep. But first- a pic of the "dinner" we had at the airport while we waited for our flight. Seemed like such a good idea at the time... Oh well!
