Day 275 is delectable

Look at this. This. Magic. Chocolatey, gooey, perfection. We had roomie (+1!) dinner tonight and it was simply wonderful. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the incredible entree I made, it was on the plate and gone within seconds... so I guess it was good? :) But my awesome roomie made this lava sensation for dessert. It was incredible. I could eat 5 more. But I won't. Maybe. No promises.

Day 240 survived Irene

Well, we officially survived Hurricane Irene. The worst was actually yesterday. However, early this morning until about an hour ago, we were without power. During that time my mom and I went out for coffee. We decided to drive to the Delaware River to see how high/choppy it looked. Pretty high and choppy, apparently. And super chocolatey-looking. Like Willy Wonka chocolate river-esque. Thankfully it appears the damage in the area was to a minimum. No more hurricanes this season, please!

Day 162 had a bittersweet birthday

So I've been in Chicago for roughly 10 hours and am in love with this city all over again. One of my besties (and future roomie!) KGrahams is taking me around to some parties in the city and introducing me to new, awesome peeps. We had some amazingly rich chocolate cake from Bittersweet Bakery and while it didn't go so well with those margaritas we had at dinner, it was worth it.YUM. I mean really.. yum. I believe I just found my new fave sweet shop in Chicago.

Day 61 loves chocolate!

Like Aislinn, I too love blogging about food (one reason why we get along so well!). I know it's March, but is Easter really that close (I don't know when it is. Bad Catholic.)? For a chocolate fix my friend gave me this pack of Cadbury creme eggs- so rich and delicious. They are a close second to the Cadbury mini eggs, first introduced to me by Laura F. The mini eggs are so good I would literally steal them from a child. Toddlers, consider yourself warned!

Day 57 gets creative with chocolate

When these kids were here, we found some funky local chocolate bars at a grocery store in town. French Toast, Ramen Noodles and one other one I can't remember but I'm sure was awesome. Anyway, VA bought the french toast one and gave us all a try and it was delicious. I mean, crazy crazy good. As if chocolate isn't delicious enough already, let's add in the flavor stylings of syrup and cinnamon. Umm, best idea ever right? I finally found these again today, yay!! If any of you ever stumble upon this chocolate at a store near you, seriously give it a try. If you like the taste of awesome, you'll love this. trust.

Day 45 is like a box of chocolates

Mama Gump was right! Today was one of those "you never know what you're gonna get" days. I'll let you in on a little secret friends, I'm a bit of an overthinker. Whether it be making an important life decision or choosing a chocolate without a flavor cheat sheet. Without getting into detail, February thus far has tested my overthinking abilities and I've been relying heavily on my friends for advice on matters of the heart (you know who you are - thanks!). So on this Valentine's Day I'm going to sit back, enjoy the view and eat some delicious chocolates (except the caramel ones, I don't like them).

Day 35 goes to the Amish Market

Quit drooling! Today I went to our local Amish Market and left with a little less self-control. Everything there is delicious and made from scratch. Now it isn't exactly a health food store, but we all need a little indulgence from time to time right? Besides donuts, cookies, cake, and fried food they have a lovely produce section. And if you don't like fruit, just drench it in chocolate.
