Day 197 for breakfast

Cinnamon waffle with honey peanut butter and bananas. The perfect quick breakfast before hitting the road. I'm going to Baltimore for the night with my folks. Stay tuned for some travel photos tomorrow! Happy weekend friends!

Day 188 loves lamp

I'm having some serious photographers block as of late. A part of me still feels self-conscious taking pictures when I'm out and about - the main reason I'll never be a paparazzi. I hate waiting until the end of the day to take a photo. So for the sake of me getting to bed at a reasonable time, here is a shot of my favorite lampshade. It's from Anthropologie and I love it.

Day 166 takes out the trash

This is the most spectacular piece of garbage I've ever seen. I passed this abandoned arcade game (Zaxxon, anyone??) on my drive to and from work, yesterday and today. Finally tonight I decided to stop and take a photo. My dear readers, this was a shady mission. The people throwing the game out live in this weird hippie commune type house. It doesn't look like any other house in the neighborhood and there are a bunch of abandoned cars in the yard. It looks like bad things happen there. I could've been abducted while taking this photo. All for the sake of art, am I right!? I wish you all could jump into the photo to experience the smell. It smelled like mildew and forgotten dreams. I'm very happy I risked my life to get a few snapshots before it gets collected tomorrow morning.

Day 81 happened.

This day was bound to happen. Aislinn warned me. I've hit photographer's block! Though, I'm impressed it happened on Day 81 and not Day 10. This week has turned out to be more stressful than I anticipated. And I had an especially long day today. Glancing at the clock and realizing I didn't touch my camera today sent me into a frantic, "What the hell should I photograph!?" moment. Then I saw my "Keep Calm and Carry On" notebook, a gift from my friend Emily. It was like a little message of encouragement and a call to be a sliceof365 model. Here's hoping I keep this mantra in mind all week!

Day 12, No Snowday for You!

We only got a few inches of snow overnight, so it was business as usual! The upside to going to work early? Lots of photo ops! Very few people are out and about before 6am, especially when snow is involved. My neighborhood was so peaceful and beautifully snowy! Some brave soul was out before my street was plowed and left these tracks. As lovely as the snow is, right now I couldn't be happier that I'm home and already in my pjs. Stay warm, friends!

Put some new Day 3 shoes on!

Facts about me: I own too many pairs of jeans, too many bags and too many shoes. Except I don't really see it that way - maybe it's a girl thing - but is it actually possible to own too many of any of these things? Nope. Not even a chance. Which brings me to today's little slice. These babies just arrived.... [happy dance!!]

And guess what? You can't even really yell at me for yet another pair of shoes, because these are for a great cause!! (side note, if you don't know about Tom's, you need to check them out. Great company, amazing mission.) Tomorrow I'll be rockin these fancy new shoes. The only thing I haven't figured out is which pair of jeans they'd look best with..... :)

2011, meet Day 1. Let's do this.

2011 is here, ya'll!! And so is this fancy 365 project we're about to rock out. Do you like happiness? Do you like pictures? I know you answered yes to both which means what you need to be doing right now is bookmarking and coming back every day to get yourself a nice dose of happiness + pics. for real. and now to the good stuff...

I rarely post pictures of myself and I'm positive this won't happen again in the next 364 days, but as a special treat in honor of the launch of this sweet little bloggity, I'll break my own rule to post this shot - a glimpse of the happiness from last night, seattle brought it's A game for NYE in a big way.
